“Chocho’s Island” is a food company owned and operated by chef Nico Quichocho and his wife Katrina. The two share three children together; Kassidy, Nyjah & Quinn.
Nico was born and raised on the island of Guam. Upon moving to the states as a teen, a taste of home was right in his own kitchen as his parents would keep their culture alive through Chamorro cuisine for the years to come.
Nico was inspired by the incredible cooks of his family and after introducing island style food to his wife (Texas native) the two developed a passion for sharing the bold and unique flavors of Guam with their friends and family which then grew into a demand throughout their community.
The food scene in Guam, USA is often described as a melting pot of flavors from the Chamorro people and their neighboring islands and friends like Japan & Korea. Being of both Chamorro and Filipino descent; Nico infuses the customs of Guam and the Philippines in his style of cooking to share with us a taste of his home & culture.
Chocho’s island is based out of the great state of Texas and has since been serving island inspired cuisine at local festivals as well as their food stand on the weekends in San Antonio, Texas.
